Q1: You've been stranded on a desert island with only one standard-size travel suitcase. If you could only have 3 items in that suitcase, what would you want those items to be and why?
"An inflatable boat, a pair of swimming trunks, and a phone," He doesn't take too much time with giving that answer. "I'd grab some long stick and hopefully that would be enough to get out of there. I'd call someone as soon as I get reception. I'd take swimming trunks in case I have to swim. There's no point in staying on that island if my cat's not with me."
To be fair, he'd miss Tokyo and his friends as well.
Q2: Tell us about a defining event in your life that you think influenced who you are today.
"Trying to help a woman who was assaulted by a drunken man," It's been quite a while since that incident happened, and yet there's a shift in his behavior. Akira seems a bit anxious which he tries to hide behind a soft smile. "One thing led to another and I had to transfer schools. That's how I ended up in Tokyo. I met my friends there and awakened to the power that let me change people's hearts. It's a long story, really. Maybe for some other time." The sentence is followed by a sheepish smile; he doesn't seem to have anything more to add.
Q3: What does family mean to you and who do you consider a part of your family?
"People who look out for you no matter what even if the situation is bad. I don't think family necessarily has to be blood-related, either," It seems like a bold statement to him, so Akira looks away briefly and pulls a lock of his hair. "Id say that I have two families. One in my hometown and one in Tokyo. Sojiro took care of me while I was on probation and Futaba's like a little sister."
Q4: Tell me about a time you were involved in a personal conflict (not a physical fight). What would you do differently to resolve it?
"This is one of these long stories," Akira takes a deep breath and decides to explain it to the best of his ability, even if it's quite convoluted. "Shortly after I arrived in Tokyo, I got into a conflict with one of the teachers because he was abusing his students and we stood up against him with my friend Ryuji. As result, he wanted us to get expelled. Around that time, we've obtained our powers. No one was willing to help the students, so we had to protect them and ourselves. I don't regret it, even if our methods might be questionable to some."
It's impossible to deny that changing someone's heart and somewhat forcing them to admit what they've done isn't the most subtle way of doing things.
Q5: Do you have any regrets? If so, what are the biggest ones? If not, what is something you wish you had gotten to do back home?
Akira looks pensive, even though he knows the answer already. Something is holding him back, but he finally speaks up after a few moments.
"I wish I could've fulfilled my promise to my rival, Akechi. It might be a bit difficult now that he's gone," The thing is, he doesn't have the full picture and simply doesn't know that Goro Akechi is alive. "I think that's it."
